How registration works

Both Santa's Workshop and Santa's Hotline register online through the Naperville Park District, and both opened to residents on Tuesday, October 20 at noon. Nonresidents can register for the workshop starting Thursday, October 22 at noon. When you register for the workshop, you choose one of the available time slots; up to four families may be booked into the same slot.

Two rules shape everything: advance online reservations are required, and there is no on-site registration — walk-ups will not be accommodated. The Park District flags these spots as limited and encourages families to register early, and the hotline has already filled once this season (see below).

Santa's Hotline — the free call from Santa

Santa's HotlineFree · Dec 9

The second half of the registration story: Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus calls your child at home, addresses them by name, asks for gift ideas, and has a short, magical conversation. It's the easiest Santa moment of the season — no line, no drive, no cost.

When: Wednesday, December 9, 2026 — calls between 6:00–8:00 PM
Cost: Free · Registration is per family
Registration: Opened Tue Oct 20 at noon at napervilleparks.org/santashotline
Status: The Park District's hotline page reported 2026 registration as full when we checked on October 21 — worth re-checking in case spots reopen

Workshop or Hotline — which fits your family?

They share one registration opening but solve different problems. The workshop is the full outing — a trip to the Riverwalk, a private visit, and photos you take yourself — for $12–$17 per family. The hotline is a two-hour window at home on December 9, free, and built for younger kids who'd rather talk to Santa than sit with him. Plenty of families register for both; just note the hotline's limited spots go first.

Workshop: In person · Nov 30–Dec 20 · $12 resident / $17 nonresident per family
Hotline: By phone · Wed Dec 9, 6–8 PM · Free, one registration per family
