Veterans Day Free Meals in Naperville: Nov. 11

Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, and if you served, lunch or dinner in Naperville is covered. Every offer below was confirmed for 2026 on the restaurant’s own site or the VA’s official list — and every address is actually in Naperville.

The annual Veterans Day free-meal lists are a minefield of last year’s offers recycled as this year’s news. So this guide to Veterans Day free meals in Naperville works differently: an offer only made the list if the chain has announced it for 2026, and only if the chain has a restaurant inside Naperville. That filter cut two famous names — more on them at the end — and left six offers you can plan a Wednesday around, from a free donut in the morning to half off a Brazilian steakhouse dinner.

Free Veterans Day meals at Naperville restaurants

Chili’s — free meal from a four-item menu

All veterans and active-duty military get a free meal on Wednesday, Nov. 11, choosing from Chicken Crispers, Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas, an Oldtimer with Cheese, or Soup & House Salad.

264 S. Route 59 · Dine-in only, Nov. 11 only, no substitutions; beverages and gratuity not included. Chili’s own page advises calling ahead to confirm.

Buffalo Wild Wings — free 10 boneless wings and fries

Past and present service members get a free order of 10 boneless wings plus fries on Nov. 11 with a valid ID.

2555 W. 75th St. · Dine-in, or walk-in counter orders at GO locations; drinks and gratuity not included.

Wendy’s — free Dave’s Single, all day

Veterans and active-duty military get a free Dave’s Single hamburger all day on Nov. 11 — just identify yourself as a veteran or service member when you order. Fittingly, the burger is named for Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas, who joined the U.S. Army at 18.

1560 Route 59 · Inside or drive-thru; limit one; not valid in the app or on delivery orders.

Fogo de Chão — 50% off the full churrasco

Not free, but the biggest ticket on this list: veterans and active-duty personnel get 50% off a Full Churrasco or Indulgent Churrasco, and guests dining with them get 10% off the same meals. Tell your server when you order.

1824 Abriter Ct., Freedom Commons · Fogo’s Naperville page lists the offer for Wed. Nov. 11; a few national deal lists printed a different date, so confirm when you reserve.

Free coffee and a free donut to start Veterans Day

Starbucks — free tall brewed coffee, spouses included

Veterans, service members and military spouses get a free tall (12 oz.) brewed coffee, hot or iced, on Nov. 11 at participating stores — the only offer here that extends to spouses.

Naperville stores citywide · Café and drive-thru orders only; Cold Brew, Nitro and customizations excluded; one per customer per visit.

Dunkin’ — free donut, no ID required

Active and retired military get a free donut on Nov. 11. Dunkin’ is the relaxed outlier: in-store only, one per guest while supplies last, and no ID required.

Including 811 E. Ogden Ave. · Not available through mobile app ordering.

The fine print that decides a Veterans Day free meal

Bring proof anyway. Buffalo Wild Wings requires a valid ID, and most sit-down offers expect some proof of service — a military or retiree ID card, a VA health card, a DD-214, or the veteran designation on an Illinois driver’s license all commonly work. Chili’s page doesn’t name its accepted ID; Dunkin’ is the only one here that explicitly asks for none.

“Participating locations” is doing real work. Every one of these offers is limited to participating restaurants, and franchise locations can opt out. A two-minute call before you drive across town is the difference between a free meal and a wasted trip.

Tip like it wasn’t free. Beverages and gratuity are excluded everywhere on this list. The standard neighbor move is to tip on the full menu value of the meal.

Two famous names are missing on purpose. Applebee’s free-entrée tradition is real for 2026 — a free full-size entrée plus a $5 bounce-back card — but we could not find a Naperville Applebee’s in the chain’s own locator, so it doesn’t belong on a Naperville list. And as of November 5, IHOP, Olive Garden, Outback and Texas Roadhouse still hadn’t confirmed 2026 offers on their own sites or the VA’s list — if a listicle promises you those, it’s quoting last year.
